Mister FPGArefugee camp edition(we dont have any of the handhelds)

If you notice most of these games are "aftermarket", or what we call neo-retro, mostly post 2020, and some post 2000 , it is usually b/c mister cores or all fpga cores have been built around "running games from the 80s and 90s" which shows in the computer cores best as they are a bit far away from the real experience. So most of these dont need listing as about 99% of them is sure to work since the cores were literally built around it.
20240829 : split up into two parts, its slighty a hack-ish but it works (on these browsers at least) ... short underhanded borderline lamer coding
20240810 : wip still but its here - under the hood a lot changed and its hella easier to sort out - just need to work away the flatfile into entries and then there's about half a million roms to test but i think if i weed out the doubles and dont count "prg / crt / d64 / .tap / .dsk / .adf / .lha" as different versions its probably closer to 250000
20240727 : wip the new style well its an includefile on this page now - obviously not the intent of loading all entries at once on one page over time but this wont lock the internet for now. Also very much not the intention of being a full database, just "misterCOMPAT", relevant links to wikipedia, csdb, atarilegen, zxart, msxdev etc etc etc are provided for that ...
20240720 : wip the new style for easier sorting searching adding and removing , as always no deadlines or roadmaps unless Elon sends us a quick billion b/c he feels it has to go faster ...
20240616 : switched the backgrounds for (mostly) Mister screenshots , some stuff that doesnt run is from emulators ofcourse
20240603 : moved some stuff around , it will fall in place sometime
20240601 : give this thing some time it will fall in place - its kinda hard to add GOTM on a thing that revolves mostly around 30yo or older games - for that id suggest pixel cherry ninja, indieretronews and maybe videogame esoterica , for the c64 ofcourse RGN and retro gaming dino + the usual boards but that one has its own section - if we ever get hands on an STE (it would have be an STE im afraid -real one- or gods behold a FALCON that will get one too - when the Jagstudio programming takes shape of an actual game it might get its own too, as for the rest- if we win euromillions we will personalluy maecenas retroCOMPUTERcore people but when did we ever have that kind of luck --- broken links are possible its not a scraper, if anyone actually visits this and finds one, feel free to mail (anything@janesondergrond.art will reach just dont start with YOUR HERITAGE IN SOUTH AMERICA FAST! or something) well fix it ... its passtime hobby and gets us nothing but the brainrot prevention so we dont care much what anyoone thinks about it ...

Mister expansion board powerbutton depressing fix

For kids who cant afford heroin (or a €400 soldering kit)

we now dare say with 98% certainty (to normal people thats 99,99 i suppose b/c to us 99 is a 100 to normal people b/c the only certainty in life is death, the rest is 99% at most) that the power button attached to the expansion board depressed itself after it grew its own will (E'eryone wants to be chatGPT these days ...) but for solderless folk who saved up a year to buy this thing buying a quick soldering kit (which last time we checked stood at around €300-400 for "a decent one" as mentioned by youtubers who dont break stuff or bring other folk down but solder a lot on video, pcb and small things) is not really an option, so prepping for the apocalypse An old clamp and a laundrypin .... Has the thing running for two hours without glitching ... it aint pretty but until we read up more and vid up more on powerbuttons its gonna have to do
update 2024 03 31 : we just left it like that since we still dont have spare copper for a soldering kit that costs about 2/3rds of the mistercombo on the pics here by itself and we basically have about NULL experience with pcb soldering ... afaik the standard comes without power button or anything (the de-10 w/o expansions) so this clamp gives it a nice refugee-camp avant-garde feeling and mostly : it works ... ( a special kind of art you wont see anywhere unlike the pre-printed look at my nintendo cases hahah)

below : a small list of (almost all post 2020) games that are claimed to run on a Mister without any tinkering - computer cores are highly underdocumented and probably played since most want something that just works by turning it on, the beautifulconsole people from that song ... if not it will get sorted out sooner or later ... most of the games are free by hobbyist and machine-groupies but some would like some cash for it ... a wise man once said "buy what you can afford if you like it" so if you like seeing stuff for that old machine that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling thinking back then support some of the guys (or call your local Bill Gates to plea a trust fund FOR SCIENCE and preservation)
its actually pretty amazing how lively the neo-retro scene is tho in some cases its probably due to the fact that theres no decent IDE/frameworks available (like the newer N64 or Saturn consoles) , in order of most alive id say we get 1)c64 2)ZX spectrum 3)Amiga and then 4)Atari followed by msx - cpc , nes, snes get some but they ask batcrazy prices (tho if they can get that ... a limited edition cart at $80 of which you have 4000 bruts you 320k ... thats "abit more" than we would have in a whole year (several) ... so you cant blame the guys for trying if they CAN ... megadrive seems to have some too, but i dont see much mastersystem, tho i fear we only scratched the surface, its not our intention of becoming a catalogue and you wont find download links to romsites either , only the devs own free or not but if we happen on titles that look great relative to the platform we'll try adding them (its not like we get paid or youtube or anything) - anyone is always free to send us free trial copies of new games, we'll make those frontpage liners heh heh heh)
